Telling myself that life would be a whole lot better without WoW, and I love my family.
They have been waiting for a long time for me to say it, and finally I did it.

I quit playing after 5 years

I keep trying to quit and then after some days I get a bit bored and log back on, it doesn’t help that I’ve got it as an annual contract… I went of some old characters today and looked at some of my old guilds info, players inactive for years, all my real friends either left, inactive, or deleted their characters. This all made me really really sad like I feel now I’ve gone back and seen that everyone but me has moved on with their lives. Some of my best gaming times were The Burning Crusade days… I’ve tried to bring that feeling back but everyones gone (except one real life friend who still raids). I’m lonely, isolated and nostalgic, I guess it proves all good things come to an end one day and nothing lasts forever. Everything down to little minor details like old inactive character names really triggers a memory I know I can never get back.

That feeling I had when a whole dedicated team of friends would spend hours and hours on tbc and wotlk content is definitely gone and I’m struggling with letting go. I guess I need to keep trying but it’s hard and I feel alone. I hope I don’t destroy my old memories with this cataclysm content that I have no passion to do anything with.

A serious WOW addict here mainly for nostalgia reasons, I wish I had your strength. Well done.
